As Christmas approaches and we start to think about our loved ones, we can sometimes struggle to find something to buy them to show we care. As an adult, we can usually buy the things we want ourselves without having to wait until the festive season. I am struggling for my husband, so I’ve scoured the internet to find things to buy. I thought I would share my ideas of what to buy for your man to perhaps make your shopping a little easier.
Included are things I have bought, gifted or just found online but everything I’ve picked I genuinely love and would buy for a loved one. I have also tasked my husband to come up with a wish list as well – so a real man has had input too.
These are where the bulk of my presents are found.
Kikkerland Multi-Tool pen
This funky little pen has a phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, spirit level and ruler all hidden around the pen. It is ideal for a toolbox and would come in handy for little odd jobs that need quick attention without getting all your stuff out.
Chilli Growing Kit
This is one of those things that always goes down well in our household. Something that lasts a bit longer than a toy airplane but isn’t too high maintenance, just make sure you keep it away from little fingers and animals!
Leather Cable and Headphone Organisers
My husband is always struggling to find his headphones and struggles with the old issue of tangled leads, as do we all. This stocking filler is a little bit different but probably a very useful gift.
Or if you don’t fancy wires at all these Bluetooth earbuds are a reasonable alternative to the VERY expensive Apple AirPods. If you lose one, which I invariably would, then it’s only 12 quid to replace them.
Being a breaded man is so fashionable now, so why not celebrate the fluff with a themed mug?
If you have a football fanatic, Art of Football won’t disappoint with their prints and football memorabilia. They can be printed on canvases and also framed, to suit the budget you have in mind.
Something a little more special
Craft Beer Party Box
This lovely present has 24 bottles of craft beer for your man to try. I once tried to make one myself but ended up struggling to find that many different beers in the shops. It is something a little more special considering the price but it is a little bit more unusual than the normal 4 pack of Special Brew.
Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch
£129.99 – £179.99
I nearly bought one of these for myself, after having an Apple Watch Series 1 for two years and have fallen out of love with it. This little beauty is half the price, works with iOS and Android and has the majority of the features an Apple Watch does. In the end, I went for a Fitbit Charge 2 (mainly because my mum already had one going spare). Have a look out for my review post coming soon.
This beauty was recommended by my father-in-law. If you have a man that likes DIY or does a lot around the house then this is a fab little tool, the kit comes with many different drill bits and fittings to do a range of things from engraving, grinding, sanding and polishing to normal drilling.
If your bloke has an Xbox and is an avid gamer, then this may just make his Christmas. The controller is extra special and has super sensitive analogue sticks, customisable D-pad and additional triggers to make the gaming experience even more emersive.
Blow the budget
Sometimes you just need to treat your loved ones and forget about the price, here are a couple of things I know would go down a treat on Christmas Day.
This is a definite blow the budget jobbie, the newest console from Microsoft has 4K capabilities and can also play all games from previous consoles. Be warned, if you buy this your fella may buy a 4K tele specially and you may never communicate as he plays it all evening, every evening.
£249 – £599
The Apple Watch is a complete indulgence. It is so handy to be able to see your texts and who is calling without even getting your phone out of your pocket. The entry level original Series 1 starts at £249 with the newest model, the Series 3, coming in at £399 for the sport model, other more fancy ones can bring the price up to an eye-watering £599.
