I am a bit of a nightmare to buy for, are you? This Christmas I decided to do a gift guide for mums to give you inspiration and help out the other people who are struggling for ideas. Everything I’ve included is something that I would love to receive this year or personally recommended by me. Some items I’ve bought, wish-listed or have been gifted to me to pop in my guide – but they’re all something I would genuinely like to receive on December 25th!
I love knick-knacks and I love style so stocking fillers are the bulk of the presents I receive. Don’t get me wrong I like a “big present” but everyone who knows me knows I like the little bits and bobs.
I am a big fan of unicorns, and so is Isabelle. This mug would be a wonderful addition to my cat mug and I’m sure my coffee would taste better in it.
£0.29 + £0.80 postage
I love stuff like this and it’s an ideal gift for people that are a bit alternative. The bio for it says it’s good for use when you’re taking your makeup off, which is something I definitely need and at a price like that, what have you got to lose.
A bit of a theme is running through here, but these pens would make any mum (and especially a blogging mum) a very happy lady.
Once again, something like this would be fab for makeup or pencils and pens.
If you are a massive candle fan like me then you probably prefer lighters to matches. I have used the cheapie ones from the pound shop for years but when Zippo asked if I’d like to have one of theirs I was more than happy to oblige. This one is so lovely to use and makes a feature of itself rather than something to put in a cupboard.
Something a little more special
These candles can be used as a massage oil when melted, not that I would necessarily use it for that. But I would burn it in the evening to relax me before bed. The scent is subtle but delicious and I’m sure it would go down well with any lady you’re buying for.
This delicious treat would definitely make me happy. The taste is absolutely stunning and reminds me of the wonderful pistachio creme croissants in the Ca’puccino cafe in Harrods. The whole family has had a taste of this slightly alternative sweet bread and are complete panettone converts.
This is amazing for dog walks, if you find yourself out and about, whether it’s catching buses or doing the school run, this is perfect for you. It works by being just warm enough for you to hold and helps melt frozen fingers during the winter months.
I LOVE afternoon tea so this gift would be perfect for me. The beauty of buying a voucher for something like this is that you can buy to fit your budget. If you want to go all out you can spend £100, but if you want something a little simpler you can find it for as cheap as £20. Keep an eye out for discounts on Groupon, BuyAGift and Wowcher, or buy direct with the venue in mind.
Blow the budget
So these vary wildly in price and you can find a spa day for as little as £30 for two, however, this is one area you can really blow the budget. With websites like Groupon, Wowcher and buyagift (again), you can match your budget. But if you are looking for a blow out present then take a look at a luxury spa break with a night away in a hotel too.
This is possibly the best present you could give the mum in your life. Accompanied by a Lush Bath Bomb, Netflix and some Prosecco you couldn’t please a woman more.
