Leather phone cases from Snakehive – an ideal Valentine’s gift

With the “big day of love” approaching I have been struggling to think of ideas for Mr Mumsy. We both LOVE tech and fancy electronics, meaning we have our fair share of WiFi devices. I am a massive Apple fan and always have an iPhone. I am very protective of my phone, as his the hubby. We both religiously put a screen protector and phone case on our handsets and when Snakehive asked if we would like to review a case each as a “his and hers” type thing; well, you can guess my answer.

So what’s different about Snakehive?

I usually pick a silicone or plastic hard case to go around my phone and places like Amazon always have lots of very reasonable choices. The only issue I find is that they break easily or get scratched and nasty at break-neck speed. They usually ship from a China and have poor quality overall.

As you may know, I adore shopping local and Snakehive is a British business. They offer real leather cases with the option to have your initials embossed on the front for personalisation. There are so many choices of colour and finish to choose from. I picked a sky blue case from their Pastel Collection and Mr Mumsy picked a navy blue one from their Vintage Collection. Both of us chose to have our initials on the front (yes, we have the same initials… it makes opening the post interesting!) I chose rose gold (so “on fleek” right now) and he chose silver.

The finish on mine is smooth whereas the vintage collection has more of a matte brushed leather finish. The quality is fantastic, you can tell the product is real leather and stitching is top notch. They feel really sturdy and made to last; I would even make a bet that their cases would last years.

What phones do they cater for?

On their website, there are absolutely loads of phone options to fit almost all smartphone users’ needs. They ship quickly – we got ours within 2 days. I’d you’re looking for a last minute pressie then it’s a great choice for a phone-obsessed loved one and are great as a matching couples gift – think of it as a gift for your other half and a treat for you as well.
