Hey Workout review

I am really excited about this collaboration, as you may have seen I am doing a half marathon in September and a 5k in August, considering my fitness is at level zero I have joined up with Hey Workout to start to get fit. One thing that I really fancied about Hey Workout was the fact that I can access unlimited interactive webcam classes from my sofa (I know, the sofa bit is the part I need to drop). The instructor can see how you’re getting on and give you advice the same way they would in a “proper” fitness class. If the timings of the classes aren’t convenient then you can access recorded classes to join in when it suits you.

Having a little one, I was worried about committing to a class at the local leisure centre for a couple of reasons. 1) I didn’t want to have to leave my husband to look after my daughter for another night (I already have commitments for two other evenings), 2) Sometimes I’m so exhausted that leaving the house is just a step too far and 3) They are quite expensive, if my baby was ill I’d lose the money, and being on maternity leave, I don’t have a disposable income right now.

Hey Workout is £8-£12 a month so much cheaper than Pilates at my local gym (£6 a session) and because I don’t need to actually leave the house, I am much more likely to log in. I don’t have to worry about my flabby bits falling out of my yoga pants either.

So I’ve found my training plan! Over the next few months I’ll be vlogging about my experience with Hey Workout classes and charting my progress on the blog in the “Couch to… half marathon” series. As an extra for my readers I am giving away a free month for you and a friend with Hey Workout and also a free extended free trial of 14 days rather than the 7 they offer on the website.

      I am this week sometime. Gotta start training for the half marathon or I’ll end up keeling over half way around!
