Since we moved into our new house in 2016, I’ve loved being able to have a nice workspace. At Christmas, I bought a new desk and set it up with a nice pin board to hold all my bits of information. A little while ago, I was asked to review a balloon light from Hawkins Bazaar, the mecca of gadgets. So I thought I’d pop this on my desk to add a bit of ambience to my work-zone.
Hawkins Bazaar always has something that you would like, it’s almost impossible to go there and come out empty handed, it’s fantastic for stocking fillers at Christmas and great for kids bits and bobs. They sell everything you could imagine from a Sooty hand puppet to Pop! Vinyl figurines. They also have higher budget items like Bluetooth speakers and drones, if you’re looking for a grown-up pressie.
The light I was sent is USB powered and plugs into the back of your PC or through a plug adapter, although no plug comes in the box. It changes colour and has the ability to stick to one colour if you like. The light isn’t too bright, so acts more as a feature than a functioning light source.
I am a massive fan of knick-knacks and this is the kind of place I love to fill my wish list with for obscure and “never knew you needed” items. So if you’re looking for a birthday present that is a little different, then this is your place. It’d also be great for some unusual gifts for the man in your life, should you want something to boost up the present count.
What is the most unusual thing you have ever bought? Tell me in the comments or tweet me @mumsymidwife and I will RT.
If you fancy leaving comment, please do, they always make my day!
