Palmer’s Cocoa Butter – a relationship over many years

This post is in collaboration with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have used Palmer’s for years, when I was a child my mum used to put it on my skin to soothe cuts and grazes; right up until the present day when I was trying to help a tattoo heal. It is a staple in the lives of the UK and something I would imagine almost everyone would know and that telltale signature scent that makes you feel like eating it. But what have I used it for in the past?

Well, to be honest, I use it for almost everything. I really like their lip-balms (especially the coconut oil one) as they last better than other competitors and their hand cream is really good for tired cracked hands.

Back when I was pregnant in 2015 I was adamant I wanted to reduce the risk of stretch marks. So every day I used to moisturise my tummy and back to keep things soft. I did a lot of research at the time to find out the best products and Palmer’s came up again and again. So I used their massage lotion for stretch marks and their tummy butter for stretch marks – two products aimed at pregnancy – but also really useful in many non-pregnant circumstances.

I have to say, I didn’t get one stretch mark where I moisturised but did get some where I didn’t. So with that as an experience, I felt it definitely worked. I was huge as well by the end of the 9 months!

Now I’m nearly 4 years post baby, I do still find a use for stretch mark lotion – my “baby weight” has stuck around a lot longer than I expected and my weight has fluctuated over the years. I love the way it glides over the skin and soaks in really easily – I really hate the greasy feeling that comes with some moisturisers. So when Palmer’s asked me to talk about their products I was more than happy to; having been a loyal user.

If you are pregnant and looking for a good anti-stretch mark cream that doesn’t cost the earth. Or perhaps you’ve noticed a few little ones creeping in where your body shape is changing from the challenges of day to day life. Then I would definitely get some of this in the cupboard.

What did you swear by in pregnancy?
