Pay it forward – random acts of kindness.

Pay it forward – random acts of kindness.

I am a great believer in kindness, it costs nothing and it makes you and everyone else happy. I try to always let people out of junctions when I’m driving, and I always open the door for others when I go shopping. But with 2016 being such a terrible year politically (and some would say morally too), it’s about time we showed a little more compassion towards each other and “pay it forward”.

I love the thought of happy mail. That is when someone you don’t know sends you a gift, just because. It spreads joy, and that is never a bad thing. Last week my wonderful blogging friend Jenny from Midwife and Life sent me a gift. It was completely unexpected and so thoughtful, it actually made my week. As part of #LoveGiving, she sent me a bottle of Prosecco and Chocolates, delivered to my door.

Pay it forward - kindness costs nothing. Try giving a surprise to someone this Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day, happy mail is always loved. Spread the joy this holiday season. Random act of kindness.

Having not being well during the previous weekend with norovirus, and looking after my equally unwell husband; I was well and truly ready to drink some Prosecco! We ended up with a child-free night on Saturday so I relaxed the only way I know how… wine and chocolates whilst watching trashy tv – you can probably see that it’s “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here”. I’m not ashamed to say I love it!

Random acts of kindness, pay it forward,, happy mail.

So in the spirit of the gift, I paid it forward. I bought a bunch of flowers for a friend of mine. I asked, in return that she do a selfless thing for someone else to keep the chain going. Just a simple gesture is all it takes.

So with the year being a bit of a letdown, why don’t you do something nice for someone, just because you can? I challenge you to make your own chain and spread the love, but don’t forget to let me know how you’ve done it!

Mwah xx I’m so glad it made a difference. I hope the chain continues. I’m doing reverse advent too this year.

Right! I will definitely take up the challenge! I will, of course, let you know how I get on! Now just to decide who my worthy recipient is…

You can do the smallest thing and make a big difference. I was at the supermarket where you need a coin for a trolley. As I returned my trolley a nurse asked me if I had a £1 coin, I didn’t as I use a keyring with a charity coin attached so I just gave it to her, she was so pleased by such a simple gesture.

You’re right, even the littlest things can make a massive difference.
