Footwear that fits – wide fit shoes.

Footwear that fits – wide fit shoes.

Following on from my post about my body post-baby and finding clothes to suit, I am always on the hunt for suitable footwear as well. My feet have never been suited to platform heels and stilettos, I’m more of a flats or kitten heel kinda girl. In fact, I only have one pair of shoes that have a heel; as they have been the only ones to date that don’t hurt!

I’m currently on the hunt for a stylish but warm and comfortable pair of shoes that I can wear when I take Isabelle out. My current go-to shoes are a pair of leaking flats that I dread wearing if it rains, and a pair of what can only be described as “mummy shoes”. They are a hideous pair of trainers that are elasticated… they honestly look as good as they sound. When I’m at work I wear the ugliest shoes I’ve ever owned, just because they stop my feet hurting after a 13-hour shift.

Finding shoes that fit is so important, fashion is key too, the footwear needs to be stylish. Post-baby you need comfy shoes and going out shoes.

I’ve tried looking online for some shoes, but it’s so hard to tell if they’ll be any good when you try them on. I normally try to buy wide fit shoes if I’m buying online, as I’m more confident they won’t rub my feet with the extra space. I wouldn’t say my feet are a wide fit, particularly, but I’ve had more success with these over regular shoes.

Places like Wide Fit Shoes are great as they are an exclusive collection for that type of footwear. I always seem to fall in love with a narrow fit pair, before realising my mistake and having to go back to square one with choosing. They offer trainers, office shoes and even safety boots along with orthotic footwear as well. I also like the collection of wide fit shoes at New Look. They offer a selection of wide fit shoes that are the same as their standard fit range. So you don’t stand out from the crowd.

I’m still on the hunt for that elusive pair of stylish but comfortable footwear. Where have you got your comfiest shoes from?
